This week’s first PostSecret is precisely why I want to adopt deaf kids.  I want to raise them in an ASL household, where they will never be made to feel abnormal, imperfect, or like a burden.  It pains me to know that there are many deaf children who may end up emotionally and/or mentally stunted just because their parents refuse to learn sign.
